Dallas lounges: what to know before you go
Dallas/Fort Worth is American Airlines' largest hub, and the lounge landscape rewards American flyers and Admirals Club members above all. Admirals Clubs are spread across Terminals A, B, C, and D, so you're rarely far from one — but the Terminal D club near the international gates is the most spacious and the one worth targeting on a long layover. The Centurion Lounge in Terminal D is one of Amex's flagship locations and stays busy; arrive with buffer time on weekday evenings. DFW's Skylink train runs airside and is genuinely fast, which is a nice change from Atlanta — you can reasonably reach a lounge in an adjacent terminal without blowing your connection, though Terminal D to Terminal A is still a real trip. Day-pass options exist here (Admirals Club and Plaza Premium both sell entry), so occasional flyers aren't shut out the way they can be at pure Delta or United hubs. If DFW is home and you fly American, the Citi AAdvantage Executive card (Admirals Club membership) is the obvious anchor; if you're card-agnostic, an Amex Platinum unlocks both the Centurion Lounge and Plaza Premium.

DFW lounge FAQ
How many airport lounges are at Dallas (DFW)?
Dallas/Fort Worth Intl has 11 tracked lounges across 6 networks: Admirals Club, Amex Centurion, Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club, Delta Sky Club, United Club, Plaza Premium. Access rules for each are traced to an official source and re-verified regularly.
Can I buy a day pass to a lounge at DFW without a premium card?
Yes. At DFW, walk-in day passes are available at: Admirals Club ($79), United Club ($59), Plaza Premium ($50). Airline flagship networks such as Amex Centurion and Delta Sky Club do not sell walk-in day passes at any airport.
Does Delta elite status get me into the Delta Sky Club at DFW?
No. Delta Medallion status alone does not grant Sky Club access on domestic itineraries. Entry is gated by an eligible Delta-affiliated card (such as the Amex Platinum or Delta SkyMiles Reserve) while flying Delta, or by flying an eligible international premium cabin — not by status.
Can I use Priority Pass at the Admirals Club at DFW?
No. American's Admirals Club does not accept Priority Pass. Access requires Admirals Club membership (including via the Citi / AAdvantage Executive card), a qualifying American premium-cabin ticket, or a paid day pass where offered.
Which cards get me Priority Pass access at DFW?
Priority Pass membership comes bundled with several premium cards — including The Platinum Card from American Express, the Chase Sapphire Reserve, and the Capital One Venture X. At DFW, Priority Pass gets you into the independent and Plaza Premium-style lounges, but not the card-exclusive airline networks.
