New York JFK is defined by its terminal silos: there is no airside connection between terminals, so your lounge options are whatever exists in your departure terminal, full stop. Terminal 4 is the heavyweight — it hosts a Delta Sky Club (Delta's primary JFK home), the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club, and international flagship lounges, making it the best terminal to depart from if lounges matter to you. Delta also operates in Terminal 2. American's operation and its Admirals Club are in Terminal 8, and JetBlue's home is Terminal 5. Because you cannot walk between terminals airside, a Priority Pass or premium card only helps if the lounge is in your terminal — a Sapphire Lounge in T4 does nothing for you departing American from T8. JFK is also traffic-cursed on the ground and prone to weather delays, so the value of a comfortable lounge to wait out a delay is real.
